Aerobord revisits renewable energy with the launch of Solar Thermal and photovoltaic systems.

Aerobord is no stranger to the use of renewable energy, the first hydroelectric turbine was installed at our Askeaton plant in the 1930’s and subsequent models continue that tradition today, generating up to 300kW from the river Deel in Limerick.   

It is therefore fitting that as we approach the close of 2008, when severe energy cost fluctuations grab news headlines around the globe Aerobord once again is promoting a new range of renewable energy products.

For 50 years Aerobord has been at the forefront of energy conservation in Ireland, today we are proud to announce that we have been awarded “approved agents” status by Schuco Solar, one of the largest German manufacturers of solar thermal collectors with over 10 years of solar experience.  They are constantly developing innovations in the solar field, both in terms of products and production processes. The Schuco name bears the promise of superior quality, which is expected from a long term investment in a solar installation. 

All installers are fully trained and approved by both Schuco and Aerobord.
